I wish I was closer or that she at least glanced at me. But when doing street shots, sometimes you don’t have time to wait. I just had to follow my gut and take the shot. Though I could have done better with the exposure, I feel satisfied.

Me and my friend Axel who resides in Vienna opened a small etsy shop today. We sell limited prints of some of our photographs. I’m really excited about this venture although I am a bit anxious if we will be able to sell. It will be nice if we do. But the main thing is this is a project or an offshoot of our passion for making photographs. And also for our passion for film photography.
Hope you check our etsy store and our facebook page. Thank you so much.

That`s no good news but what to expect from Fuji …

Was just in Yodobashi Camera in Shinjuku and despite yesterday’s post about switching to Ilford HP-5 yesterday, figured that I’d pick up some Presto 400 before the price increase in a few days.
I took the film to the register and started talking with the clerk whom in addition to cashiering also works with ordering for Yodobashi’s film department. He said that Presto 400 won’t see a price increase because (wait for it ) the current production run will be its last. While it isn’t officially announced it seems that- Fujifilm Presto / Neopan 400 is to be discontinued.
According to the clerk, it is expected that the remaining Presto / Neopan 400 stock will last for about another year. And then when it’s gone, it’s gone.

WTF!!!

I am a street photographer in New York City. Several months ago, I was approached by a representative of DKNY who asked to purchase 300 of my photos to hang in their store windows “around the world.” They offered me $15,000. A friend in the industry told me that $50 per photo was not nearly enough to receive from a company with hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue. So I asked for more money. They said “no.”Today, a fan sent me a photo from a DKNY store in Bangkok. The window is full of my photos. These photos were used without my knowledge, and without compensation.I don’t want any money. But please REBLOG this post if you think that DKNY should donate $100,000 on my behalf to the YMCA in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. That donation would sure help a lot of deserving kids go to summer camp. I’ll let you guys know if it happens.
